The person behind the work

A lifetime at
the bench.

Jerry Sobel is a second-generation jeweler who has served jewelry stores and companies in the industry since 1982. Today, he welcomes individual clients to the same trade-level craftsmanship.

The story behind the craftsmanship

Learned with care.
Practiced for decades.

Jerry learned jewelry making from his father, Melvin, who was born deaf and spent more than 65 years working in the trade. Melvin taught by example: patient work, precision, integrity and no shortcuts.

In 1982, they established J.M. Sobel and worked side by side for 35 years, serving jewelers and retailers who relied on their expertise.

In 2018, Jerry opened Jerry Sobel Jewelry, carrying that knowledge forward while expanding the tools available at the bench.
